    Three-time Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Lee Sung Jin is the creator, executive producer, writer and director of the highly acclaimed and multi-award-winning Netflix series BEEF. The show stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong in Emmy-winning performances.

    Sung Jin made his directorial debut with BEEF's thrilling and emotional finale. Recently, he wrote Thunderbolts for Marvel, which reunites him with director Jake Schreier. Sung Jin’s previous writing credits include the highly acclaimed shows Dave on FX, Undone on Amazon Prime, Tuca and Bertie on Netflix, and the Emmy-nominated Silicon Valley on HBO.

  • Joanna Calo

    Co-Showrunner | Executive Producer | Director

    Joanna Calo is the co-showrunner, executive producer, and director of the critically acclaimed series The Bear on FX. 

    She also wrote for the award-winning series, BEEF, for Netflix. Before that, she wrote for Hacks on HBO Max, Lost Ollie, and The Babysitter’s Club on Netflix. Joanna’s animated TV credits include five seasons of BoJack Horseman, Undone and Tuca & Bertie.

    On the film side, Joanna has been rewriting Thunderbolts for Marvel, adapting The New One for Warner Brothers and plans to direct her own project, After Birth, this fall.

  • Alice Bell

    Screenwriter | Producer

    Alice Bell’s first screenplay was the multi-award-winning feature film Suburban Mayhem, which was invited to screen at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. She went on to write and produce television dramas such as The Slap, Rush, Offspring, Spirited and Puberty Blues before creating The Beautiful Lie, the critically acclaimed contemporary adaptation of Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina, starring Sarah Snook.

    Alice’s latest production, Expats, in collaboration with director Lulu Wang (The Farewell), Blossom Films and Amazon, was released globally on Prime Video in January 2024. Shot in Hong Kong, Expats is a thoughtful and provocative portrait of privilege, identity and belonging, starring Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue and Ji-young Yoo.

  • Alison Hurbert-Burns

    Commissioner, Executive Producer & Content Executive, BINGE/Foxtel

    Alison Hurbert-Burns leads the content functions for the Foxtel Group including the commissioning of all scripted and unscripted production and content acquisition for BINGE and Foxtel. She oversees the slate of award-winning original programming, with recent commissions including Colin From Accounts, Love Me and Strife, and upcoming series The Last Anniversary, Mix Tape and BINGE’s first original film, How To Make Gravy.

    Alison has a track record of building new audiences and driving growth via content. She has worked across content strategy, production and commercial negotiations for Australia’s leading broadcast, streaming and media organisations and start-ups. Prior to Foxtel, she worked at Channel Nine (launching Stan and 9Now), the AFL in Melbourne and with Time Warner’s news division in London.

  • Amanda Duthie

    Amanda Duthie is the Head of Stan Originals, encompassing scripted series and features, entertainment series, and factual features and series. 

    With over 20 years of experience in the Australian screen industry, she is a passionate advocate for Australian screen storytelling. 

    Stan Originals has commissioned critically acclaimed and award-winning fiction content including Black Snow, Bump, Population 11, The Tourist, Bad Behaviour, Prosper, Caught, Ten Pound Poms and Wolf Like Me. Across the Revealed slate of feature documentaries, titles include Renee Gracie: Fireproof, Otto by Otto, Danielle Laidley, How to Poison a Planet and The Cape.    

    Amanda was previously Head of Arts & Entertainment at ABC TV and Creative Director/CEO of the Adelaide Film Festival. 

  • Anchuli Felicia King

    Screenwriter | Playwright

    Anchuli Felicia King is a playwright, screenwriter and multidisciplinary artist of Thai-Australian descent. As a screenwriter, she has written episodes of The Sympathizer, the TV adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel starring Robert Downey Jr. and Sandra Oh (HBO), and Mary and George (AMC), a historical drama series starring Julianne Moore.

    Felicia has also written episodes for The Baby, a dark horror comedy produced by Sister Pictures for HBO/Sky, The Twelve, a trial drama for the Foxtel Group and Deadloch, an Amazon original series. She has several original series in development, including projects with BBC Studios, A24, See Saw, CJ Entertainment and Warner Brothers.

    Andrew Bovell’s credits include In The Shadow Of Iris (2016), directed by Jalil Lespert; A Most Wanted Man (2014), an adaptation of John Le Carre’s novel for director Anton Corbijn and starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman; Edge Of Darkness (2010), starring Mel Gibson; Blessed (2009), winner Best Screenplay at the San Sebastian Film Festival; Lantana (2001), directed by Ray Lawrence and winner of Best Screenplay at the Australian Film Institute Awards, Australian Critics Circle Award and Australian Writers’ Guild Award; Head On (1998), winner of Best Screenplay Australian Writers’ Guild; The Fisherman’s Wake (1996), directed by Neil Armfield; Lust (1994) a part of the ABC TV series Seven Deadly Sins; Piccolo Mondo (1992) for SBS; and the original screenplay for Strictly Ballroom (1992). 

    He currently has TV series in development with Matchbox Pictures, See Saw Films and Curio Pictures. 

  • Asher Keddie

    Asher Keddie is one of Australia’s most critically acclaimed actors, and a producer.

    She stars in the BINGE comedic drama series Strife, which she executive produced with Made Up Stories, her third collaboration with them, following roles in The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (Amazon) and Nine Perfect Strangers (HBO).

    Asher also stars in the new Paramount+ drama Fake, inspired by journalist Stephanie Wood’s book, and co-produced with Imogen Banks, creator and producer of Offspring. Her role in that series earned Asher three TV Week Logie Awards, including Gold in 2013. Previously, Asher won a 2007 ASTRA Award for her performance in Love My Way (Foxtel). Other television credits include Stateless (ABC/Netflix), The Cry (BBC One), The Hunting (SBS) and the lead role of Ita Buttrose in ABC’s Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo, for which she won an AACTA Award.

  • Cailah Scobie

    As Chief Content Officer at Stan, Cailah Scobie is responsible for the streamer’s dynamic content strategy, overseeing content acquisitions and operations, programming and originals. She has executive produced a diverse slate of films and series including Ten Pound Poms, Wolf Like Me, Black Snow and Bump, among others.

    Cailah has helped negotiate major studio output deals with the likes of Lionsgate, Showtime, NBCUniversal, Paramount, MGM and Sony. She was pivotal in bringing major overseas content to Australian audiences, accelerating Stan to become one of the nation's leading SVOD platforms. Cailah was previously the company’s Head of Content Acquisitions and General Counsel. Prior to working at Stan, she was corporate counsel at Channel Nine.

  • Caroline Pitcher

    CEO, VicScreen

    As CEO of VicScreen, Caroline Pitcher spearheads Victoria’s creative and economic screen development agency, championing the advancement of the screen industry and elevating Victoria as a global screen destination.

    With over 20 years of industry experience, she has held leadership roles across government and the private sector, including as the GM Post Production, Deluxe Australia and Chief Executive of Ausfilm. She applies her extensive experience in strategic development, leadership and marketing to inspire teams to be courageous, committed, collaborative, caring and high performing. 

  • Cate Shortland

    Director | Screenwriter

    Cate Shortland’s debut film Somersault (2004) premiered in the Un Certain Regard at Cannes Film Festival. She co-wrote and directed Lore (2012), which premiered In Competition at the Sydney Film Festival and won the Audience Award at Locarno; and directed Berlin Syndrome (2017), which premiered at Sundance Film Festival and screened at Berlin Film Festival, and Black Widow (2021) for Marvel Studios.

    Cate adapted “Rosie” from Christos Tsiolkas’ novel The Slap for the ABC. The series was nominated for both BAFTA and Emmy Awards and won an AWGIE in 2012 for best adapted miniseries. Her TV miniseries writing credits include The Devil’s Playground, Deadline Gallipoli and The Kettering Incident. In 2022, Cate directed on the Showtime series Three Women.

  • Chris Oliver-Taylor

    Chris Oliver-Taylor leads the ABC’s content output across television, radio and digital.

    He was previously Director of Production for Australia & New Zealand for Netflix. Before that, Chris was Fremantle’s CEO of Asia Pacific, where the company won multiple drama commissions at Viacom, Netflix, Hotstar, Foxtel, the ABC, Sundance and Stan and set up series at Amazon, HBO Max and SBS. His Executive Producer credits include Heartbreak High (Netflix), Wellmania (Netflix), The PM’s Daughter (ABC), Barons (ABC), Bay Of Fires (ABC), Lie With Me (Channel 5/Network Ten) and Rock Island Mysteries (Nickelodeon).

    He started his career at the BBC in London, before taking on various senior roles at the ABC and moving to the independent production sector as Managing Director of NBC Universal’s Matchbox Pictures. His Executive Producer credits there include The Slap (NBC/ABC), The Heights (ABC), Glitch (Netflix/ABC) and Wanted (Netflix/Channel Seven).

  • Daina Reid

    Daina Reid began her screen career as a comedy writer and actor. Her recent U.S. TV work includes The Veil (Hulu/Disney+), starring Elizabeth Moss, and The Shining Girls (Apple), which earned her an Australian Director’s Guild Award nomination. Previously, she has directed the comedies Upload and Spaceforce starring Steve Carrell and John Malkovich and episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu/Stan), with her episode “Holly” receiving an Emmy and a Director’s Guild of America nomination.

    In Australia, she directed the series remake of Romper Stomper (Stan); Sunshine (SBS), which won the 2017 AACTA Award for Best Telefeature or Miniseries and the ADG Award for Best Direction of a TV Miniseries; Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo, Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War and INXS: Never Tear Us Apart. Her feature film Run Rabbit Run starring Sarah Snook premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

  • Daley Pearson

    Producer | Creator | Ludo Studio Co-Founder & Director

    Daley Pearson is a multi-Emmy, BAFTA, AACTA and Logie Award-winning producer, creator and co-founder and director at Ludo Studio. He is Executive Producer on Ludo's animated series Bluey (ABC/Disney+), now the most watched show in ABC TV history and the most-watched series in the U.S. for Disney+.

    Daley recently created Talk to Me  for A24, the second most successful feature release for the studio. Previously, he executive produced the AACTA Award-winning drama series Robbie Hood (SBS) and was showrunner on the Rose d'Or-winning and Emmy-nominated series Content (ABC) and The Strange Chores (ABC). Daley is currently writing and directing Ludo's first original feature and executive producing Ludo's new 8x30 drama series with Dylan River for Stan. He also plays Thor's roommate Darryl alongside Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum in Taika Waititi's Team Thor and Team Darryl comedy series for Marvel Studios.

  • Darren Dale

    Producer and Managing Director, Blackfella Films

    Darren Dale has been a company director of Blackfella Films, Australia's premier First Nations production company, since 2000, and is now managing director. He has produced multiple award-winning documentary, factual and drama programs. In drama, credits include: telemovie Mabo; the groundbreaking Redfern Now, which won the 2013 and 2014 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Drama Series, and the 2014 AACTA Award for Best Television Drama Series; and Deep Water.

    In 2019, Total Control premiered at TIFF, won the 2019 AACTA Award for Best Television Drama, and received MIPCOM Diversify TV’s Excellence Award for Representation of Race and Ethnicity (Scripted). In 2021, Darren produced season two of Total Control (ABC), which won the Gold Award (Entertainment Program - Drama) at 2022’s New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. He recently completed the show’s third and final season. Darren is a Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

  • David Levine

    Chief Creative Officer, Anonymous Content

    David Levine is the Chief Creative Officer of Anonymous Content, a full-service global studio and representation company. There, he shepherds the development and production of all film and television content. Among the series David has overseen are Alfonso Cuaron’s Disclaimer and Taika Waititi’s Time Bandits.

    Prior to his role at Anonymous Content, he was the Co-Head of Drama, HBO Programming, for Home Box Office, responsible for overseeing the development and production of original drama series such as Sharp Objects, Westworld, True Detective, Game of Thrones and True Blood.

    Before HBO, David was Vice President of Development and Production at Mandalay Entertainment and served as a producer at Fuse Entertainment.

  • Debbie Lee

    Director of Scripted Development, Matchbox Pictures

    Debbie Lee is Matchbox Pictures’ Director of Scripted Development, where she provides creative leadership to the development of scripted content across a broad range of genres and markets. She also serves as executive producer on series including The Family Law, Mustangs FC, Safe Harbour, The Heights, Hungry Ghosts, Irreverent, Class of ’07, Bad Behaviour, House of Gods and the upcoming series Critical Incident.

    Prior to this, Debbie was Head of Comedy at the ABC, where she commissioned shows such as  A Moody Christmas, Please Like Me, Laid, It’s A Date, Upper Middle Bogan and The Strange Calls.  She also spent a number of years at SBS, was Series Producer on experimental shorts program eat carpet  and commissioned comedy and dramas including  Wilfred, Bogan Pride, The Circuit  and John Safran vs. God.    

  • Graeme Mason

    Senior Screen Executive

    Graeme Mason is a Senior Screen Executive with 30 years of local and international experience working for studios, networks, indies and government. He worked in factual TV programming in Australia before moving to the UK, where he worked across production, sales, acquisitions, marketing and distribution for companies such as PolyGram.

    From 1998 to 2002, Graeme was President of Worldwide Acquisitions for Universal Studios. He then joined Channel 4 Television in the UK as Head of Media Projects and later became Managing Director of Rights. Graeme subsequently ran National Agencies in two countries – first as CEO of the New Zealand Film Commission and then CEO of Screen Australia. He has had strong engagement in all aspects of media and entertainment, working across creative, cultural and commercial aspects of content creation and content businesses.

  • Imogen Banks

    Imogen Banks

    Imogen Banks is an acclaimed creator and producer, best known for the wildly popular Network Ten series Offspring  which, over seven seasons, garnered multiple Logie, AFI, and AACTA wins. With John Edwards, she developed and produced: the Showtime showcase series Tangle; for Network Ten Puberty Blues  and  Party Tricks; and Gallipoli  for Channel Nine. For the ABC, Imogen developed the mini-series Paper Giants and produced The Beautiful Lie. Through her drama division Endemol Shine Banks, she co-created and produced Sisters for Network Ten, and RFDS  for Channel Seven.

    Imogen recently founded the independent production company Kindling Pictures. Its debut project, the critically acclaimed mini-series Safe Home, premiered last year on SBS and Hulu in the US. Kindling Pictures’ most recent production is the series Fake, starring Asher Keddie and David Wenham and currently streaming on Paramount +.

  • John Collee

    Starting out as a doctor and novelist, John has since written for films of almost every genre: thrillers such as Hotel Mumbai, action/adventure movie Master and Commander; family dramas The Patriarch and Totem, historical biopics like Creation; and big-budget animation such as Happy Feet and Walking with Dinosaurs.

    Three of his films, co-written with their respective directors, have been nominated for Academy Awards: Master and Commander, Happy Feet and Tanna.

    John recently adapted Boy Swallows Universe for Netflix and co-wrote Monkey Man with Dev Patel. Upcoming releases include Lee, about war correspondent Lee Miller and starring Kate Winslet, and The Return, about the return of Odysseus to Ithaca and starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.

    Kate Dennis is an Emmy-nominated director whose U.S. work traverses both comedy and drama. Her credits include The Handmaid’s Tale, GLOW, The Serpent Queen, The Mindy Project, Fear the Walking Dead, The Tick, TURN: Washington’s Spies, Preacher, New Amsterdam,  Suits and many more.

    Kate began her career as a camera assistant then later was a script supervisor on films such as Babe, Cliffhanger  and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. She has directed the pilots/set-up episodes for 10 TV dramas in the U.S., U.K. and Australia including Network Ten’s Offspring, BBC’s Rescue Me, Network Ten’s Secrets & Lies, HBO’s Run, CBS’s Tommy, Hulu’s Harrow and NBC’s New Amsterdam. Kate recently returned from the U.S., where she set up Pulse for Netflix.

  • Kitty Flanagan

    Comedian | Writer | Performer | Director | Actor 

    Kitty Flanagan is one of Australia’s best-known comedians, playing clubs and theaters all over the world and touring Australia relentlessly with her award-winning stand-up shows. She is a writer and performer, as well as co-writer, co-director, and star of the hit comedy series Fisk on the ABC and Netflix. The show recently won two AACTA awards for Best Comedy Performer and Best Narrative Comedy as well as a 2022 and 2023 Silver Logie Award for Most Popular Actress. 

    Kitty also plays Rhonda, the annoying PR woman that everybody loves to hate on the highly acclaimed series Utopia and can be seen regularly on the comedy/quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention?

    Kitty’s best-selling book, 488 Rules for Life, won multiple awards, including Australian Book of the Year.

  • Kris Mrksa

    Writer

    Kris Mrksa began his career writing children’s television in his native Australia, but quickly became one of the most in-demand and respected screenwriters in the country. He has worked on everything from network blockbuster Underbelly to critically acclaimed limited series like The Slap, and multi-award-winning factual dramas such as Devil’s Dust.

    In 2017, Kris shifted his focus to the U.K., breaking through with the BBC/Netflix supernatural thriller Requiem. Since then, he has created and written a string of U.K.-based series including true crime drama White House Farm for ITV and HBO Max, mystery-thriller No Escape for Paramount + and the forthcoming police drama Protection, a six-part limited series for ITV. Kris is currently developing a number of projects in both the U.K. and Australia and lives with his family in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Liz Watts

    Liz Watts

    Liz Watts is a multi-award-winning film and television producer and executive producer.

    She is currently executive producing Sam Strauss’ six-part series for Netflix, Apple Cider Vinegar  and is EP on the remake of Laid  in the US for Peacock.

    Other Executive Producer TV credits include Preppers (ABC),  Fires (ABC), Operation Buffalo (ABC), Stateless  (ABC/Netflix), The Kettering Incident (Foxtel), and the six-season US series adaptation of  Animal Kingdom (TNT). Liz also produced the ABC comedy series, Kiki and Kitty and two seasons of Laid (ABC).

    She is also currently producing Tenzing  with Jennifer Peedom directing for Apple+ and whilst at See-Saw, has produced Wizards, David Michôd’s feature for A24, and Kitty Green’s feature The Royal Hotel. Liz’s other film producing credits include: The King, starring Timothée Chalamet; Mary Magdalene, starring Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix; The Rover; and  Animal Kingdom.

  • Minkie Spiro

    Director | Executive Producer 

    Minkie Spiro is an international award-winning director and executive producer. Her versatility and talents have seen her direct critically acclaimed titles such as HBO’s The Plot Against America and Barry, Better Call Saul, Dead to Me, Downtown Abbey and Fosse/Verdon.

    Most recently, Minkie directed 3 Body Problem (from Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff & D.B. Weiss) and just returned from London, where she completed the four-part drama Toxic Town, written by Jack Thorne. She is currently in prep for a pilot for Peacock called All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook.

    Other actors Minkie has worked with include Dame Maggie Smith, Jim Carrey, Sam Rockwell, Michelle Williams, Toni Collette, Winona Ryder, Bill Hader and John Turturro. She began her career in photography and documentary before gaining a Masters in Film Directing from The Royal College of Art.

  • Nakkiah Lui

    Writer | Actor | Director | Producer

    Nakkiah Lui is an AACTA and Logie-nominated writer, actor, director and Gomeroi/Torres Strait Islander woman. She wrote, directed, produced and acted in the groundbreaking sketch comedy series Black Comedy, which ran for four seasons on the ABC from 2014 - 2019. Nakkiah then went on to create, write and star in the award-winning 2017 series Kiki & Kitty (ABC).

    She was also the co-creator, showrunner and star of Preppers on the ABC, and has contributed to a number of Australian and international drama and comedy series, such as Total Control and The Great. Nakkiah is currently under an overall deal with HBO, which has her exclusively writing television for the network.

    She began her playwriting career in 2013 with her first play, This Heaven (Belvoir St Theatre) and has since worked with every major theatre company in Australia.

  • Nash Edgerton

    Nash Edgerton has directed two feature films – Australian film noir The Square and Gringo, starring David Oyelowo, Charlize Theron and Joel Edgerton. He has also directed several acclaimed short films including Spider, Bear and Shark.

    Nash is one of the founders of Blue-Tongue Films, a film collective responsible for features such as: Judy & Punch, which he produced; The King, which Nash worked as second-unit director; and the highly acclaimed FX/Binge series Mr Inbetween, which he directed and executive produced for all three seasons. More recently, he was lead director for the Netflix series Bodkin starring Siobhán Cullen, Will Forte and Robyn Cara.

  • Penny Smallacombe

    Head of Scripted, Blackfella Films

    Penny Smallacombe is the Head of Scripted for Blackfella Films and a member of the Maramanindji people from the Northern Territory. Prior to that, she worked for Netflix as the ANZ Grow Creative Manager.

    In 2021 she worked with Bunya Productions and produced the mini-series True Colours for SBS/NITV. Previously, Penny was the Head of the First Nations Department at Screen Australia, overseeing a large slate of highly successful film and television projects including Total Control, Spear, She Who Must Be Loved, Sweet Country, We Don’t Need a Map, Grace Beside Me, Mystery Road, Sweet As, We Are Still Here and Little J and Big Cuz. She has also worked as a Senior Programmer for NITV (National Indigenous Television) and was a producer with the Indigenous Programs Unit at the ABC.

    Que Minh Luu is Director of Content (ANZ) for Netflix, responsible for the local commissioning and overall programming strategy for the world’s leading streaming entertainment service. This includes recent titles Heartbreak High, Boy Swallows Universe, and  ONEFOUR: Against All Odds, and upcoming titles Desert King, Apple Cider Vinegar  and Son of a Donkey.

    Que was previously an executive producer working across scripted drama, comedy and digital content at the ABC, and as an independent producer and developer for screen content as well as radio/podcasting, and live and interactive works. In a former life, she was a film editor.

  • Rachel Griffiths

    Rachel Griffiths is a multi-award-winning Australian actor and content maker. After making her debut in the iconic Muriel’s Wedding, her film credits include The Rookie, Blow, Hacksaw Ridge, Anyone But You and Hilary & Jackie, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.

    In television, she co-created, executive produced and starred in the political drama Total Control, which recently completed its third and final season. Rachel also starred in the acclaimed HBO series Six Feet Under as well as Brothers & Sisters and Amazon Prime’s The Wilds.

    In 2018, she directed and produced Ride Like a Girl, the highest grossing Australian film of the year. In 2020, Rachel became a Member of the Order of Australia.

    Rob is currently producing the highly anticipated Netflix drama Territory, Stan Original  Christmas comedy Nugget Is Dead: A Christmas Story  and second seasons of The Twelve  and  Scrublands.

    He was previously Head of Originals at Stan, where he was responsible for Stan’s defining successes and award-winning, critically acclaimed originals like No Activity, Wolf Creek, Bloom, The Other Guy, Romper Stomper, among others. Rob has worked as a film/TV producer in both the U.S. and Australia, and as a media and entertainment lawyer.

    Robert Connolly is an acclaimed Australian screen producer, director and writer. His film The Dry was a critical and commercial success followed by the sequel Force of Nature and Blueback, screening at the Toronto International Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. His most recent film, The Surfer, starring Nicolas Cage and made through his Australian production company Arenamedia, premiered in official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

    Robert’s other feature film credits include The Bank, Three Dollars, Balibo, Underground: The Julian Assange Story and Paper Planes. On television, he was one of the featured directors of the International Emmy-nominated limited series The Slap, with other credits including Barracuda for NBC Universal and the political thriller Deep State, starring Mark Strong.

    Robyn Butler is an actor, writer, director and producer at Gristmill, the Australian Production Company she founded with Wayne Hope. She co-created and produced the award-winning series The Librarians, Very Small Business, Upper Middle Bogan as well as the smash hit show Little Lunch and feature film Now Add Honey.

    Robyn won an Australian Director’s Guild Award for her directorial debut Little Lunch: The Nightmare before Graduation. Following this, she co-created, directed and produced Back in Very Small Business, The InBestigators, Love in Lockdown and Summer Love. Robyn recently stepped outside the Gristmill world to direct season two of Colin from Accounts.

  • Sarah Lambert

    Sarah Lambert was the writer and showrunner of four-time AACTA Award winner The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart for Made Up Stories and Amazon Prime. The global hit series, an adaptation of the book by Holly Ringland, was the most successful Australian Amazon Original launch ever.

    Previously, Sarah was writer and an executive producer on the adaptation of Markus Zusak’s novel, The Messenger, for Lingo Pictures and the ABC. She was writer and showrunner of the television adaptation of Marele Day’s Lambs of God for Foxtel and Lingo, which was nominated for 18 AACTA Awards, and won nine. Sarah is also the creator, writer and producer of the Australian drama Love Child (Channel Nine), which ran for four seasons. Her other credits include Love My Way, Dance Academy, The Alice, A Place to Call Home and The Doctor Blake Mysteries.

  • Sarah Scheller

    Sarah Scheller is an award-winning Australian screenwriter. She was showrunner for the series Strife for BINGE, where she worked with producers Made Up Stories. The show was BINGE’s biggest original series premiere and is in pre-production for series two. Sarah is currently developing two more shows – one with Beyond Entertainment and the ABC and another with CBS.

    Her first television script, The Letdown pilot, co-written with Alison Bell, won the AACTA Award in 2016 for Best Television Screenplay and was commissioned for two seasons by the ABC and Netflix. It has won multiple awards including Best Comedy Series at the 2018 and 2019 AACTA Awards, and Best Screenplay Comedy at the 2016 AACTA Awards. Sarah was nominated for Best Direction in a Television Drama or Comedy at the 2019 AACTA Awards.

    Sarah L. Walker is a highly experienced Australian author, screenwriter and script producer. She was the lead writer on the acclaimed TV series The Twelve and thriller ratings hit The Secrets She Keeps. Sarah has written and/or script produced for numerous primetime Australian TV shows, both in production and development, most recently on The Last Anniversary for Made Up Stories.

    Among other U.S. work, she is in development with Charlize Theron’s production company Denver & Delilah on a pilot for HBO and has written an adaptation from book to series for MRC and Echo Lake with Elle & Dakota Fanning. As well as working for screen, Sarah is a journalist and playwright.
